Event Livestream In CrowdUltra Instructions:

CrowdUltra allows Hosts to record live stream video to YouTube through our platform as well as embed livestream or recorded video within any Event. Hosts can record their YouTube livestream directly in CrowdUltra Events as they answer questions or respond to posts. The YouTube livestream could also then be shared to other platforms such as Facebook or LinkedIn. Speakers/Guests can join the video as well alongside the Host. Hosts can also invite others to join the video or join by audio call in with moderation functionality.

If they would rather, Hosts can also embed a YouTube livestream that is broadcasted using other software or a recorded video from any website. Crowd Members can view the livestream or recorded video within any Event.

Create your CrowdUltra Event to field Q&A/Posts and live stream. You can field questions/posts beforehand, during, or both for the livestream. If you add Speakers/Guests, they can join the live stream video through their dedicated list of questions/posts.

Go to YouTube Studio and create your YouTube Live Stream by clicking Go Live. If you don’t want people to see it outside of the CrowdUltra platform, make the video unlisted.

After your YouTube Live Stream has been created, you will be sent to the Live Control Room.

Copy your hidden stream key in the Live Control Room.

Go to add/edit event info for the Event you created in CrowdUltra, where you will be holding the live stream event.

Paste your stream key into the Event Info.

Go back to YouTube Studio and click on the calendar icon for the manage page for the live stream.

Click on the three dots next to the upcoming stream for the Event.

Click on get shareable link for the stream.

Paste the shareable link into the Event Info.

Once the stream key and shareable link have been pasted save the Event Info.

When you are ready to start recording, go to the Event. Then click the start video button at the top of the event page.

You will then be asked to accept the audio and video permissions.

Click the join meeting button on the video. At this point, your video meeting has started. The live streaming has not started yet. This is the time when other hosts or guests can join and make sure their connections are working.

If you want to invite someone besides the Speaker/Guest to the live stream, copy the meeting link and share it or share the audio call-in number with the extension. You can also invite someone else to the video chat once you start the video with the person plus icon.

When you are ready to go live, click the go live button.

You will be alerted that your stream is now ready to go live.

Go back to your YouTube live stream.

You will now see your video in the top left corner of the page, and it will say it is ready in the top right.

Then click go live in YouTube in the top right corner. This will start the live streamed video.

You are now live streaming and can answer questions or respond to posts as you record video.

Click the stop recording button and then the red hang-up icon when you are finished.

Go back to your YouTube Live Stream Control Room page to end the live stream.
