Crowd Member Instructions:


CrowdUltra’s mission is to bring you closer to your favorite hosts and enhance any in-person or virtual occasion you attend.

Crowd Member Account

A Crowd Member Account is used to stay up to date and interact with your favorite Host’s of any occasion, as well as engage in quality conversation with friends and family.

Upon joining CrowdUltra, upload a profile picture and create your profile.

Profile:
Create a profile to showcase who you are with the most customizable profile experience any social platform has ever offered. Profiles can be created with endless possibilities. All crowd members can view and interact with your profile, strengthening connection.

To view your profile, click on profile under the account dropdown. To edit your profile, please click on the Pencil Icon (). The profile is created using our Rich-Text/HTML editor. Custom HTML can also be added using the ICON. Images, Videos, and Embeddable content can be included. YouTube videos, podcast episodes and libraries, music playlists, gaming live-streams, and much more can be embedded in the profile. Please view the profile possibilities page and embed list to learn more.

Your profile info and image can be edited on the edit profile page. The background color of your profile page can also be changed here.

Host Search:
Once you have joined CrowdUltra, you should search for Hosts, Channels, and Events to follow. Select the Search menu option, and then enter search keywords into the Keywords search box. Every search can be filtered by Channel Type. You can also search for verified Hosts only, using the microphone icon.

Your search results are organized by Host, Channel, and Event. The Host’s Information, along with their number of Channels can be seen. Channel Information, as well as the number of Followers and Events a Channel has are also displayed. The Event information including the number of event participants and questions/posts is also shown.

Hosts may be followed or unfollowed using the People ICON, Channels may be followed or unfollowed using the People Icon (), and Events may be bookmarked or unbookmarked using the Bookmark Icon () on the Search Results screen.

Crowd Search:
Once you have joined CrowdUltra, you also should search for friends and family to follow. Select the Search menu option and enter their username or email address into the search box. Members of the Crowd may be followed using the People Icon ().

Channels & Events

Channels:
To see the Channels you follow, select the Channels option on the CrowdUltra main menu. Here you can see the Channels along with their information, unfollow the Channel, view additional Channel information, and view Events for the Channel selected with the Calendar Icon (). By selecting the Host’s name, you can view the Host’s profile as well as their entire list of Channels and Events.

Events:
To see Events you have bookmarked and from Channels you follow, select the My Events option on the CrowdUltra main menu.

Events can be seen in the Calendar. Hover over the Event on the Calendar to see more information, click on the numeric day to view all Events on that day, and click on it to view the Event and engage.

Below the Calendar, the events are listed in an organized manner by Active, Upcoming, and Past. Event Information is displayed, and you can click on the Channel name to view all of the Channel’s Events. You can view the list of questions to ask questions with the ? Icon (), view the list of posts with the Purple Post Icon (), as well as see additional Event Information and Guidelines with the I Icon ().

Private Events are represented with red Event Names and in red on the Calendar. To interact with Private Events, you must enter the proper pin given to you by the Host.

Questions:
To view all the Questions that have been asked by the Crowd for an Event, go to My Events and select the Question Mark Icon (). Unanswered Questions are displayed in an ordered list from highest to lowest rank. To see Questions that have been answered by the Host and Guests/Speakers, select the Answered Questions button.

To ask a Question select the Ask Question button. When asking a Question for an Event with multiple Hosts and/or Guests/Speakers you can ask a general Event Question or select the specific Hosts and/or Guests/Speakers you would like the Question to be answered by. Questions can be in audio, video, or written format.

Be aware of the Event Guidelines when Asking your Question. If the Host has turned on the Profanity Filter, your Question is scanned for profane language, and the words are substituted with asterisks(***).

For an audio or video question, it is recommended that you type in a short summary of your Question into the Question field on the Ask Question screen. This helps both the Host and other Crowd Members because they can see what your Question is about before listening or viewing your Question.

To view the Questions you have asked, select the My Event Questions option under the activity dropdown. If your Question has not been Voted on or Answered, you can Edit or Delete your Question. Deleting a Question adds one Question/Post to your Question/Post total. You can Edit your Question by using the Pencil Icon () on the My Questions option on the CrowdUltra main menu or from the My Questions screen. You can Delete your Question by using the Red X Icon () on the My Questions option on the CrowdUltra main menu or from the My Questions screen.

Posts:
To view the list of Posts for an Event, go to My Events and select the Purple Posts Icon (). Posts are displayed in an ordered list from highest to lowest rank. The Posts that have been responded to are visible in green along with the Host’s or Guest/Speaker’s name. To see Posts that have been answered by the Host, select the Responded To Posts button.

To create a Post select the Post button. Hosts can allow the Crowd to post audio, video, images, links, YouTube/Vimeo videos, or written posts. Posts can be published in anonymous format if allowed by the Host. When posting in an Event with multiple Hosts and/or Guests/Speakers you can tag specific Hosts and/or Guests/Speakers in the Post.

Be aware of the Event Guidelines when posting. If the Host has turned on the Profanity Filter, your Post is scanned for profane language, and the words are substituted with asterisks(***).

To view your Posts for all Events, select the My Event Posts option under the activity dropdown. If your Post has not been Voted on or Responded To, you can Edit or Delete your Post. Deleting a Post adds one Post to your Question/Post total. You can Edit your Post by using the Pencil Icon () on the My Questions option on the CrowdUltra main menu or from the My Event Posts screen. You can Delete your Post by using the Red X Icon () on the My Event Posts screen.

Question/Post Voting:
Every month you have 20 Questions/Posts that can be asked for all the Events you follow. Every time your Question/Posts is voted on, you receive a Question/Post back for a maximum of 20 Questions/Posts per month.

Members of the Crowd can vote five times per event. This allows the Host to see what is important to you and the rest of the crowd. To Vote on a Question/Post, press the green Thumbs Up. To Unvote, press the Thumbs Up a second time. When you Unvote, you receive a Vote back for a maximum of 5 Votes per Event.

CrowdUltra Feed

Feed:
The feed is where daily engagement occurs. The feed contains:
  • • Questions asked by Hosts you follow and the question’s answers
  • • Host answers to questions posed by you and other Crowd Members following them
  • • Host announcements
  • • Questions asked by Crowd Members you follow and the question’s answers
  • • Crowd answers to questions posed by you and other Crowd Members following them
  • • Crowd announcements
Using the icons at the top of the feed allows you to engage through asking questions, sending announcements, viewing your followers, viewing whom you follow, and viewing personal message threads. To view any of their profiles, please click on their name.

Crowd Question To Host(s):
You can pose a question to up to ten Hosts you follow. The question appears in their feed for them to answer. To ask a question, go to your feed and click on the ?H ICON. You can ask an audio, video, or written question. A profanity filter can also be applied to ensure proper conversation.

The question is available on the Host’s feed for at least forty-eight hours. The question appears to all Crowd Members following the Hosts once they answer the question. The question is also shown on your Crowds feed once it has been answered. Other Crowd Member’s can upvote their answers. Your question can also be viewed on your list of feed questions located under the activity tab.

Crowd Answer To Host:
Any Host you follow can pose a question to you as well as the rest of their Crowd. Their questions appear on your feed. To answer a question, click on the orange megaphone. You can answer the question in audio, video, or written format.

Your answer is available on the Host’s feed, their Crowd’s feed, and your Crowd’s feed for at least forty-eight hours. Your answer and other Crowd Member's answers can be upvoted.

You can send a personal message to any Crowd Member who also answers the question by clicking on the Envelope Icon () located to the right of their answer, as well as follow them using the Blue People Icon ().

Your answer can also be viewed on your list of feed answers located under the activity tab.

Crowd Question To Crowd:
You can pose a question to every Crowd Member following your account. The question appears in their feed for them to answer. To ask a question go to your feed and click on the ?C ICON. A profanity filter can also be applied to ensure proper conversation.

The question is available on your Crowd’s feed for at least forty-eight hours. The Crowd can answer the question and upvote other Crowd Member’s answers.

You can send a personal message to any Crowd Member that answers your question by clicking on the Envelope Icon () located to the right of their answer.

Your question can also be viewed on your list of feed questions located under the activity tab.

Crowd Answer To Crowd:
Any Crowd Member you follow can pose a question to their Crowd. Their questions appear on your feed. To answer a question, click on the orange megaphone. You can answer the question in audio, video, or written format.

Your answer is available on their feed, your feed, their Crowd’s feed, and your Crowd’s feed for at least forty-eight hours. The Crowd can upvote your answer and other Crowd Member’s answers.

You can send a personal message to any Crowd Member who also answers the question by clicking on the Envelope Icon () located to the right of their answer, as well as follow them using the Blue People Icon ().

Your answer can also be viewed on your list of feed answers located under the activity tab.

Announcement To Crowd:
You can send an announcement to everyone following you. The announcement appears on your Crowd’s feed for at least forty-eight hours. To send an announcement, go to your feed and click on the Red Speaker Icon ().

You must add a subject to the announcement. Then, the announcement can be created regarding whatever using our Rich-Text/HTML editor. Custom HTML can be added using the < /> Icon. YouTube videos, podcast episodes and libraries, music playlists, Eventbrite countdowns, gaming live-streams, and much more can be embedded in the announcement. Please view the Embed list to learn more.

Your announcement can also be viewed on your list of feed questions located under the activity tab.

Direct Messaging:
To compose or respond to a message, click on the Envelope Icon (). Click on the Blue Door Icon () to open the message thread, and the Red X Icon () to dismiss the message thread from your inbox.

Messages that are sent can be deleted until they are opened. An unread message you send will be green, a new message they sent is blue, and a message that has been read is red.

VIP Crowd Member & Order Information

Being a VIP Crowd Member allows you to ask unlimited Questions and post unlimited Posts. You can also purchase additional Questions/Posts and Announcements. This is done using the Order Information option under the Account dropdown. Credit card information is added using the Pencil Icon (). CrowdUltra uses the Braintree Payment Processing System to enable you to use any Credit Card safely. All orders can be canceled at any time under Order Information. You can also view your Current and Used Orders under the Order Information tab.
