Cooking shows are one of the most popular forms of content to watch. There are multiple Television channels dedicated specifically to cooking shows. Most cooking shows that are well done are hosted by chefs or television personalities and only available on these television channels like Food Network. Aside from that, there are now some comedians independently releasing their own high-quality cooking shows. These shows offer a refreshing and hilarious take on the show genre, and are a must-watch for any fan of cooking and comedy. Keep reading to find out about the two best comedy cooking shows, which are Stuff Island’s Look at Dish and Bert Kreischer’s Something’s Burning.

Stuff Island’s Look at Dish

Stuff Island may be the hottest comedy podcast on the rise in 2022. Comedians Chris O'Connor and Tommy Pope host a podcast and produce all kinds of other stuff, hence spawning their name Stuff Island. Their weekly podcast features them as well as guests talking about anything and everything under the sun. Twice a month they also live stream VR golf and Onward with their audience. They also release two episodes of their cooking show a month entitled Look at Dish.

Look at Dish features Tommy cooking a dish while teaching and getting assistance from Chris who knows nothing about cooking. This offers a uniquely funny vibe being hosted by two hilarious comedians with varying degrees of skill in the kitchen, while also being extremely informative and educational. Every Look at Dish episode begins with Tommy and Chris chatting as they walk from their home to the store to purchase the ingredients for the dish and then return home. Tommy then begins guiding Chris and the audience step by step as they cook the dish. The recipes are included in the episode descriptions as well so you could cook the dish with them or after watching the episode. So far they have cooked dishes including Short Rib Ragu, Philly Cheesesteaks, and Sea Bass Risotto. While the show is released behind a paywall on their Patreon, they have released a few episodes for free on YouTube. We have embedded these episodes below.

Bert Kreischer’s Something’s Burning

Bert Kreischer AKA The Machine, is one of the biggest and hardest working comedians in the world right now. Something that makes Bert such a special talent is how innovative he is, willing to experiment and dedicate time to all sorts of endeavors. Aside from his hugely popular podcasts, upcoming movie he stars in, and touring the country as one of the hottest headliners in the world, he also hosts his own cooking show entitled Something’s Burning.

Something’s Burning features Bert Kreischer entering the kitchen to drink with and cook for fellow comedians and friends. Anyone who knows Bert knows he’s wild and unpredictable, which is also in many ways the tone of this show. The first season of Something’s Burning was created in partnership with Bill Burr’s All Things Comedy, but now exclusively available on Bert’s website. There are over thirty episodes from season one, and three episodes of season two released over the past couple months. Those interested can view episodes from season two below.
