Being a good dad is a serious endeavor. Life as a dad is no longer about yourself or messing around, and now focused on your children. This isn’t something to complain
about and fatherhood is admirable. Regardless, not all fathers are serious people by nature. Many dads miss the community and enjoyment that comes with hanging out with
their buddies making each other laugh. With this being said we want to share the two best comedy podcasts for dads, perfect for any dad who likes podcasts and wants to
laugh.
Dad Meat is one of the best and biggest comedy podcasts brought to you by the Philadelphia comedy scene. The podcast is hosted by Tim Butterly and Mike Rainey. Mike
Rainey is a Philadelphia-based comedian podcaster who is also the host of Lil’ Stinkers,
which we have previously named the funniest true crime podcast.
Tim Butterly is a Philly comedian podcaster as well, also known for his hilarious roles in
Delco Proper and Gilly and Keeves.
Here is the description of their podcast:
“Positivity is the only thing that gets us hard. All we want to do is have fun, do cool shit and build our dawgz up, and that includes you. Every week, we will share
at least one free episode and one Patreon episode so that we can all have at least two enjoyable experiences every week together.”
Mike and Tim have built one of the strongest and most dedicated podcast communities we have ever seen. They have an average rating of 4.9 stars on Apple Podcasts.
The Dad Meat community is highly engaged and allows dads with a sense of humor to build friendships with like-minded people. Every
episode is recorded live and they’ve got a large presence in their live chat. Aside from the podcast, Tim and Mike also tour the country hosting live episodes of Dad
Meat, performing stand-up, and most importantly allowing local communities of Dad Meat fans AKA FGRs to connect with them and each other.
Along with Dad Meat, Stoner Dadz is also one of the most popular comedy podcasts made by Philly comedians. Tim Butterly also hosts Stoner Dadz alongside Matt McCusker
from Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast and Sidney Gantt from Two Jacked Bros.
While Dad Meat is mostly silly and goofy comedic conversation, Stoner Dadz is a conversation
fueled by hilariously high thoughts. The real essence of Stoner Dadz is an adult form of getting high with friends in your buddy’s bedroom. Most episodes also feature a
guest who they put in a closet they call “the tomb” and sometimes these guests cannot handle what it takes being on the podcast, making things even funnier.
Stoner Dadz also has an extremely strong community. While they’ve only put out around twenty-five episodes, they have received raving reviews and a perfect five star
rating on Apple Podcasts. Inspired by the live episodes of Dad Meat, Stoner Dadz also records live episodes from time to time with a highly engaged chat. They also
regularly host live audience Q&As so they can connect directly with their community. The Stoner Dadz community is truly fun to be a part of and offers dads a nostalgic
escape back to times when things were easier going.
Any dad looking for a laugh when they’ve got some spare time needs to check out these podcasts and become a part of their communities. Dads wont regret doing so and will
build real friendships alongside the weekly laughs. Being big fans of these podcasts ourselves, we encourage you to support everything these guys do and subscribe/like/review
their content. Those interested can check out our favorite episodes of
