For those who don’t know, CrowdUltra is part free all-in-one event and audience interaction app, part ticketing platform, and part social network. The CrowdUltra Awards features over 100 categories among segments they provide value to including events, podcasting, event talent, and event planning.

After receiving over a thousand nominations, they narrowed down the Top Five Live Rapper nominees. These Live Rappers stood out among the rest and should be celebrated for the quality of their work. Those selected were determined by a mix of submitted nominations along with our expert panel’s assessment on a multitude of considerations including quality and community. See who was selected and learn about them below.

The Top 5 Live Rappers Feature:

Don Toliver
Description:
Singer/rapper Don Toliver established himself with a unique blend of vocal-driven trap. The Houstonian was catapulted to international recognition in 2018 with a featured role on "Can't Say," a Top 40 U.S. pop hit off Travis Scott's Astroworld LP. Signed to Scott's Cactus Jack label, Toliver joined Scott and Sheck Wes on the 2019 collaborative project JackBoys, a number one hit, and crashed the Top Ten as a solo artist with 2020's Heaven or Hell. Life of a DON became Toliver's second Top Ten solo album in 2021.

Future
Description:
Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn (born November 20, 1983), known professionally as Future, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Between late 2014 and early 2015, he released a trio of mixtapes to critical praise: Monster(2014), Beast Mode (2015), and 56 Nights (2015). His next releases, DS2 (2015), What a Time to Be Alive (2015, in collaboration with Drake), Evol (2016), Future (2017), Hndrxx (2017), and The Wizrd (2019) all debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200. Future and Hndrxx made him the first artist since 2014 to debut two albums in consecutive weeks atop of that chart. Future has also released several singles certified gold or higher by the RIAA, including “Turn On the Lights”, “Move That Dope”, “Fuck Up Some Commas”, “Where Ya At”, “Jumpman”, “Low Life” and “Mask Off”.

Lil Baby
Description:
Atlanta-bred rapper Lil Baby is charismatic, confident, and overwhelmingly popular on a worldwide level, consistently topping the charts with his rough-yet-accessible commercially geared sound. Following a series of mixtapes, his popularity exploded in 2018, the year he released his first proper album, Harder Than Ever (which included the Drake-featuring hit "Yes Indeed"), and Drip Harder (a collaborative mixtape with Gunna), both of which entered the Top Ten of the Billboard 200. He hit number one in 2020 with second studio album My Turn and again the next year with The Voice of the Heroes, a collaborative studio effort with Lil Durk. Lil Baby made a habit of dominating the charts, debuting in the top spot once more in 2022 with third studio album It's Only Me.

Lil Uzi Vert
Description:
A rapper who grew up on the beats of Marilyn Manson and Kanye's 808s & Heartbreak, Lil Uzi Vert emerged from North Philadelphia with a relaxed style that connected the dots between Young Thug, Chief Keef, and the A$AP Mob. After contributing a featured verse to Migos' number one hit "Bad & Boujee," they broke through on their own with two consecutive chart-topping LPs, 2017's Luv Is Rage 2 (capped by the groundbreaking trap-pop anthem "XO Tour Llif3") and 2020's Eternal Atake. While fans waited patiently for third studio album, The Pink Tape, to arrive, Uzi sated them in with 2022 EP Red & White.

Ski Mask the Slump God
Description:
A close friend and collaborator of XXXTENTACION, Ski Mask the Slump God is a rapper from Broward County, Florida. Inspired by MCs such as Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, Ski Mask has a fast, playful flow, and his cartoonish persona edges slightly toward the morbid. In 2015, he began garnering a following on SoundCloud with tracks like "I Like Bricks" and "Kate Moss" before signing a deal with Republic Records and releasing 2017's "BabyWipe." He gained even wider exposure when his 2018 mixtape Beware the Book of Eli hit number 50 on the Billboard 200. All of that paved the way for his official debut LP, 2018's Stokeley, which easily reached the Top Ten. Sin City the Mixtape arrived in 2021.
